You’ll be a part of a highly efficient service team, working alongside some of the best mechanics in the business. The Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice supports the service team in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Bobcat equipment and attachments under the guidance of licensed technicians. This role is ideal for individuals currently registered as apprentices or those actively pursuing a career in the Heavy Equipment Technician trade.

LOCATION:

Bobcat of Barrie

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist with troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections under supervision
  • Support technicians with repairs, rebuilds, and equipment preparation
  • Learn to program and calibrate on-board control systems
  • Complete service documentation and timecards accurately
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Participate in Health & Safety training

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Day Shift – No Weekends
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime Available

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered or pursuing 421A apprenticeship
  • 1-2+ years relevant mechanical experience
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours during normal business hours in support of the business needs
  • Successful candidates will be motivated, personable and possess excellent communication skills
  • Must have a valid Ontario drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman 421A – Apprentice – Required or in progress
  • 310T license – Preferred
